Delta Locals
Delta Locals
My Role: Through a true joint cross-functional effort, I laid the foundation for the product and its strategy, shaping its iterations and delivery through research, content, and visual direction.
My work helped to establish the foundation for an 0 → 1 product by playing a key role in setting the visual direction and informing strategic decisions early on, crafting a visually cohesive experience for all touchpoints that reinforced Delta Locals identity— all while meeting an ambitious timeline.

About & goals
The platform lives across three environments: a responsive web experience, an immersive version for Apple Vision Pro, and an interactive Roblox game, each tailored to how different audiences explore.

tl;dr: By blending editorial content, spatial web, and game-based activation, Delta Locals extends its global centennial brand presence beyond flight bookings by meeting users earlier in their journey.

Opportunity
Across platforms, travel discovery tools tend to fall into two extremes: either listicle-heavy or algorithm-driven (e.g. Google Travel, TripAdvisor), or visually polished but disconnected from real planning workflows (e.g. Instagram, Culture Trip).
Problem Statement
How might we make Delta part of that exploration process — before, during, and after the flight — in a way that deepens emotional connection and loyalty?
Solution
A system where trusted local stories, planning tools, and brand-aligned booking paths all live in one place and scale across web, immersive, and play-based experiences.
Why Ecosystem?
Choosing to design across multiple platforms wasn’t about novelty. It was a strategic decision rooted in audience behavior, business growth, and brand differentiation.
The product had to drive short-term engagement and bookings while also building long-term brand connection across diverse audiences. Each platform plays a distinct role, and together they create an experience no single surface could achieve alone.
Process & Challenges

Both the web and Apple Vision Pro experiences were designed to support different types of traveler mindsets. The web platform focused on quick planning and scrollable storytelling, which means something that felt lightweight and actionable. In contrast, the Vision Pro experience leaned into slow exploration, using space, depth, and motion to bring destinations to life.
The challenge was maintaining a shared tone and structure across two very different surfaces, while making each feel native to the platform. This meant rethinking layout behavior, interaction patterns, and pacing to fit the context of how and where people engage.
